A vacancy exists for a Research Officer in the Faculty Research Office within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at AUT's North Shore campus.

The Faculty Research Office provides collaborative support to Faculty researchers and postgraduate students. The current vacancy exists for a Research Officer to work with senior researchers on a variety of academic research projects in various stages ranging from the initiation of study design, creation of statistical analysis plans, operationalisation of data analysis, as well as reporting and interpretation of statistical results. There may also be an opportunity to work with large databases across a variety of academic research projects and engage in related data management activities. The projects can be descriptive, observational, or experimental, and belong mainly but not exclusively to the fields of human health, sports science, and environmental sciences.

The Research Officer position requires a candidate with demonstrated skills and a postgraduate qualification in biostatistics or statistics (or equivalent experience), including excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience in data management and data analytics would also be an asset. This is a 12-month fixed term position.
