Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Coordinator to join an internationally recognised child health research team in the Faculty of Health undertaking longitudinal research with adolescents at medical and social risk, and their families. In this role you will support excellence in research by providing research coordination support, data collection and administrative assistance ensure the success of a new phase of a longitudinal study of adolescent risk and resilience. The team is based at the Manawa offices in the city of the University of Canterbury, with data collection taking place at the main University Campus and in the community. The project also has collaborative links with Christchurch Women's Hospital and the University of Otago. You will work closely with Professor Lianne Woodward and Dr Samantha Lee on this exciting child and adolescent research that is making a difference.

Mōu | Who You Are
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, experience in project or research administration, and a good understanding of the research process. You will enjoy working in a team and have an interest in working with children, young people, and their families.  Professional qualifications sought include a bachelor's degree and/or a postgraduate qualification in psychology, biology, neuroscience, nursing or health-related field. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
  • demonstrated ability to ensure key project tasks are completed to ensure project success
  • demonstrated academic ability
  • proficient in English (written and oral)
  • excellent organisational skills
  • a high level of computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
