Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Research Assistant to be part of a research team and will be creating a prototype (initial mock-up and storyboards) of a Virtual Reality app specific for use in labour and birth.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Liaise with stakeholders involved in the co-design process of the concept design of Virtual Reality app specific for use in labour and birth.
  • Create a prototype (initial mock-up and storyboards) of a Virtual Reality app specific for use in labour and birth.
  • Use of AR/VR design pro-typing tools or UX design tools (e.g. Figma) in the concept design of a Virtual Reality app for use in labour and birth.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Completed Bachelors/Masters qualification in a health-related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail regarding managing research activities.
  • Excellent computer skills in using Microsoft applications and other research software packages.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ideally previous experience in clinically related research.
