Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Research Assistant Student Digital Illustrator and Engagement to join the School of Government in [the] Wellington School of Business and Government, on a fixed-term basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Produce visual assets that can be used on the website (SDG.org.nz) and within monthly newsletters, presentations, etc.
  • A secondary purpose is to have assistance with general working group activities, which may include engaging stakeholders (e.g. other academics within VUW).
  • Assisting in formal presentations of the work to outside groups (e.g. schools, conferences) participating in other activities that elevate engagement with the website (likely by working closely with our digital content creator and social media manager).

Ō pūmanawa - About you

The ideal candidate will have/be the following:

  • A basic (or moderate) familiarity with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or another software for creating digital illustrations.
  • Comfortable producing basic digital illustrations.
  • Good people skills.
  • Strong communication and/or presentation skills.
  • Works well in a team.
