Recruitment Manager, Professional Programmes Office

Situated within the Professional Programmes Office in Wellington School of Business and Government, the Recruitment Manager is responsible for the recruitment of new students – providing study advice and support for navigating the admissions process for students interested in the faculty’s portfolio of taught Master’s programmes and also working with industry partners to widen understanding of the programmes on offer and to explore business development opportunities.  In collaboration with the WSBG Engagement Team, the Recruitment Manager is responsible for the marketing of the Professional Programmes. The role also involves the coordinating of events and other activities to meet the needs of both prospective and current students.

This position would suit someone with experience in student recruitment, events management and student engagement. Experience using a CRM system is essential, as are good customer service skills and a professional work ethic.

You will be a motivated, customer-focused individual who can take the initiative, provide excellent administration and lead student recruitment and engagement. 

You will thrive in this role with excellent interpersonal, networking and relationships building skills. You will also be highly organised with strong attention to detail and self-management skills.

You will need well-honed communication skills to enable working with a diverse range of people and cultures both internally and externally and will have experience in running events and meeting targets.

Key Requirements: 

  • A minimum of 5 years proven student recruitment, consultative sales, corporate development and/or customer service experience preferably in a higher education or related environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work independently, proactively, take initiative, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a demanding team environment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build networks and establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
