Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Kairuruku Whakamanuhiri | Promotions and Outreach Coordinator to join our Te Kaupeka Toi Tangata | Faculty of Arts and work on the successful growth of the Bachelor of Digital Screen with Honours programme. This is a project-based role in which you will design, create, co-ordinate and lead promotional and outreach activities.

You will be responsible for creating promotional material for a variety of different markets, including Māori and Pasifika communities, as well as coordinating a package of speaker events, school visits and other recruitment activities to successfully recruit for the ongoing student intake of this exciting programme at UC. You will be part of a team of marketing, outreach and recruitment staff but also work across the wider UC team as well as academics and industry partners involved. The role may require domestic travel to facilitate some of the activities.

This is a diverse role to work within a team towards the successful growth of the Bachelor of Digital Screen with Honours degree and its majors.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in similar roles including:

  • excellent intrapersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • experience in creating marketing or promotional material
  • experience in coordinating events or outreach activities
  • active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori
  • organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to develop and manage relationships with a range of people from different backgrounds

You will be highly competent, working with a team of marketers and experts in the Digital Screen industry to support the academic programme in a professional environment.
