Mō te tīma / About our Team 

In this role, you’ll be working closely with the Web Transformation project team, and the Web Experience team. Together, we are focussed on improving the University website, as well as the supporting web capabilities, to provide an effective, engaging user experience. We are highly collaborative, user-centred and solution-oriented.

Te mahi / The role

As a key member working on the Web Transformation Project, you will be responsible for designing and implementing content solutions, improving user experience when interacting with university websites.

In this role, you will: 
•    Conduct thorough user and industry research, interviews, surveys, and testing to guide content design choices.
•    Create content deliverables, such as page designs, templates, and guidelines.
•    Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, architects, developers, and content developers to ensure effective implementation of content design solutions.
•    Review and provide feedback on other deliverables to ensure they align with content solutions.
•    Develop and maintain content design documentation and standards.

Our ideal candidate

•    knows the ins and outs of content design research, from start to finish, especially on big projects.
•    can get hands-on with user research activities like workshops, interviews, and surveys.
•    understands what it means to put users first in design.
•    has experience using different research methods and tools.
•    can communicate findings and recommendations clearly, both in writing and verbally.
•    collaborates well with users, clients, and stakeholders to come up with solutions.
•    has a good grasp of content management systems and web development processes

While it's not a must, having skills in UX design, web development, business analysis, project management, marketing, content creation, or communications would really give you an edge.

This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) fixed term role (until 20 December 2024), located in Dunedin.
