Are you an experienced project manager or relocation coordinator?

As a Project Manager Organisational Delivery, you will work closely with the Project Owner and Campus Development Senior Project Manager to ensure that individual department’s needs are well understood and included in the short-term and medium-term solutions for the University of Otago, Wellington Campus (UOW).

You will plan and manage the operational readiness for departments to operate in both the short-term and medium-term arrangements.

This fixed-term role will comprise all aspects of day-to-day co-ordination and delivery of expertise for UOW's operation, and you will maintain a service outcome focus for the project.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
•    Building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Representing the campus at project meetings and taking issues and decisions back to the Project Owner and Executive Planning Team for ratification/decision making.
•    Acting as the first point of contact between Campus Development and User Planning Teams.
•    Responsibility for operational commission and planning, including coordinator and planning of staff relocations.

Successful candidates will have:
•    Proven ability to plan and effectively manage a wide range of tasks simultaneously and with close attention to detail.
•    Well established time management and organisational skills and the ability to ensure deadlines are met.
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, experience in writing and evaluating tenders’ research proposals.
•    A postgraduate degree or equivalent experience working in a financial or project management role (preferred).

The University of Otago, Wellington is located in Te Whanganui a Tara (Wellington), the capital city of Aotearoa New Zealand. We are a medical and health science campus, home to around 1,000 students and an inspirational teaching team of leading health educators and researchers.

Our staff and on-campus students learn and work from locations close to the regional hospital in Newtown, and in the central city. Our main academic block in Newtown is currently being upgraded but teaching and research programmes remain in full swing.

This is a full time, fixed term (18 months) position, commencing in early 2023.

Based in Wellington this role reports directly to the University of Otago, Wellington Dean and Head of Campus.
