Mō te tūnga | About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager, with a well-established record of successfully delivering projects.

The Product Development Office (PDO) is responsible for projects related to courseware development at the Open Polytechnic.

We develop Online Distance Flexible Learning (ODFL) via our iQualify Learning Management System and our Project Manager provides a point of focus for external projects within the PDO.

The Project Manager delivers projects by adhering to the Open Polytechnic's project management framework. This includes implementing and executing projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the completion of required documentation, and managing projects through to the required standard, schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate will have; 

  • Strong command of stakeholder management 
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks at once 
  • Attention to detail and project control skills 
  • An attitude of positivity, respect, helpfulness, and a willingness to learn

You will have;

  • 3+ years' experience managing projects in dynamic environments 
  • An industry recognised certification (PRINCE2, AgilePM preferred) 
  • Working knowledge of Project Management software (MS Pro) 
  • Experience in contract management and managing contractors 
  • Experience with project budgeting and forecasting
