The School of Physiotherapy strives to provide excellence in physiotherapy teaching, research, and clinical practice. Our focus is primarily on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction, and in the promotion of health for people of all ages. 

The role/Te mahi

The School of Physiotherapy currently has an opening for a highly motivated Professional Practice Fellow with a passion and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and skills with students to work as a clinical educator in our Wellington Hub.  

Objectives:

Support teaching across a range of papers or in clinical settings, in the professional area of specialisation.

This includes preparation, assessment, teaching and paper administration duties, under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for course design and delivery;Carry out administration responsibilities; and Contribute to the School’s academic goals by applying and sharing expert knowledge in Neurorehabilitation and support teaching across Acute Tertiary and Primary Care.

The successful candidate will have:
•    a positive attitude
•    excellent communication
•    confidence to liaise effectively with students
•    strong verbal communications skills are essential
•    experience with liaising with clinical partners
•    experience with supervision of students
•    strong clinical skills in neurorehabilitation
•    proven experience in a broad range of physiotherapy practice
•    ability to work autonomously and within a team.

Essential
•    You must hold registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board.
•    You must have a full New Zealand driver’s license.

This is a part-time (0.2933 FTE), permanent, semester time only position, based in Wellington.
