The School of Physiotherapy strives to provide excellence in physiotherapy teaching, research, and clinical practice. Our focus is primarily on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction, and in the promotion of health for people of all ages.

The role/Te mahi

The School of Physiotherapy currently has an opening for a highly motivated Professional Practice Fellow with well-developed organisational, clinical and communication skills to be the clinical educator in our Invercargill Clinical Hub.

The successful candidate will:
•    Support physiotherapy students through their final clinical year.
•    Prepare, assess, teach and assist with paper administration duties under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for the course design and delivery.
•    Contribute to the School’s academic goals by applying and sharing expert knowledge in a professional discipline.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

The successful candidate will have:
•    Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board.
•    A full New Zealand driver’s license.
•    Confidence to liaise effectively with students, clinical placement providers (or potential providers) in the Invercargill region and the School of Physiotherapy.
•    Experience with supervision of students.
•    Proven clinical experience with a broad range of services/clients.

This is a part-time (5 hours per week), fixed-term position from February to December 2023, located in Invercargill.
