  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
  • Fixed-term position starting 1st August and ending 31st January 2024
  • A competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 p.a.

 

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
In this Postdoctoral Fellow role you will contribute towards the University's research programme by participating in a particular research project as defined by the relevant Department/School. You may be required to collaborate with other Researchers and may be responsible for other aspects of the research project. Assistance with delivery of undergraduate teaching in the compulsory fluid mechanics courses within the department is an additional requirement for this particular role. This means you will be required to be ready to contribute to teaching on the 1st August, 2022 and be sufficiently familiar with our core fluid mechanics courses (ENCN242 and ENCN342).

 

Mōu | Who You Are
You will have a PhD (NZQA Level 10) in (Fluid Mechanics) or a related discipline, if you have submitted your PhD and are due to complete the examination process we will consider your application.

Demonstrating a research background in environmental fluid mechanics is essential as well as experience in a teaching background in fluid mechanics and hydraulics.  You will also have demonstrated experience of excellent research capabilities (design and leadership) required to carry out innovative and insightful research supported by a publication track record.
