In this role, you will be responsible for placement administration across the primary and early childhood education (ECE) sectors in the Bachelor of Education programme, which is taught at the North and South campuses. Your focus will be building relationships with Primary Schools and ECE centres and securing practicum placements throughout Auckland and surrounding regions. In addition, you will be responsible for all placement administration on the Master of Teaching & Learning and Post-Graduate Diploma Teaching & Learning across ECE and Primary students. You will work closely with the other practicum and student administrators in the School, with students on practicum matters, and with academic staff responsible for teaching and evaluative visits. You will work closely with all stakeholders, building and fostering positive working relationships through telephone and electronic communications and visiting schools and centres as required.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years experience in a role reliant on positive multiple-stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge of all three schooling sectors in New Zealand (early childhood, primary and secondary)
  • Able to manage placement administration software
  • Knowledge of payments systems
  • A strong customer focus
  • High-level skills using Excel
  • The ability to get information out of systems, manipulate data and report on it
  • The ability to manage their time in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
  • Excellent relationship-building and facilitation skills, with cultural sensitivity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ideally, experience within the education sector or alternatively a large complex environment

Salary Range: $50,000 - $69,000 ( dependent on experience and qualifications)
