Position Overview

The School of Veterinary Science has a new opportunity for an experienced technician to work in a veterinary parasitology laboratory.
The School of Veterinary Science advances knowledge in animal health and welfare, biosecurity, conservation and sustainable productivity. We are a world-leader in our field, working with governments, other universities, international and national organisations and companies to improve animal health and production, and human health.
The role:

·  Preparing laboratory classes for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Technology students.

·  Undertaking routine parasitological diagnostic examinations for domestic animal species and wildlife, curatorship of our parasite collection.

·  Assisting with research, including animal care and handling.

·  Experience with molecular biological techniques such as PCR would be an advantage.
