Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a part time Mata Ahupae Hāpai Tangata – Administrator to join the Organisational Development team. The role will be responsible for assisting with the administration and support of the Learning and development programme.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate logistics to ensure a positive learning and development experience, including liaising with participants, facilitators, and presenters, booking venues, catering, setup of equipment, preparation of materials, nametags, stationery, etc
  • Assist with the administration of online learning and networking development activities.
  • Assist with events promotion ie. Intranet, University News.
  • Maintain training records and training database administration
  • Send workshop evaluations and collate responses.
  • Proof-read and format documentation
  • Data collection and monitoring
  • Support engagement activities including booking meetings and rooms, agenda preparation and minute taking.
  • Other administration to support the team in its broader work as required.

To be successful in this role you will have strong administration and coordination skills. Have experience working in a busy team, be able to multi-task and deal with multiple priorities at the same time. Have an eye for detail and a high level of competency in MS Office products including documents, presentations and managing data and information in excel.

The successful applicant is likely to have some knowledge of te reo Māori.
