never2old Programme Co-ordinator

Do you have experience working as a Fitness Instructor with older adults? Are you personable with a can-do attitude? Our dynamic team at the AUT Sport & Fitness Centre is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and dedicated person with innovation, leadership and vision to take up a permanent part-time position of never2old Coordinator.

This role will coordinate, facilitate and develop the never2old programme delivered at the AUT Sport & Fitness Centres and external providers.  This role will manage the needs and linkages of stakeholders and will support and complement the activities of the University.

The never2old Coordinator will supervise and participate in the delivery of a high-quality active ageing programme to older adults of the community. A range of activities are coordinated to provide opportunities for improving functional capacity and quality of life for older adults. They will also develop and review best practice for the provision of functional exercise and physical activity experiences for older adults and will assist with research and training in the domain of wellbeing for this age group.

The ideal candidate will have previous industry experience with excellent communication skills and the ambition to develop further within the role. The applicant must be professional and highly competent in fitness instructing or personal training. The candidate must be able to be REPs registered and will ideally hold a current First Aid certificate.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $69,000 ( dependent on experience and qualifications)
