We are looking for passionate registered midwife to join our team for the Wintec’s Bachelor of Midwifery programme as Midwifery Educator and Kaiāwhina. Are you passionate about empowering and supporting Māori and Pasifika students?

Are you looking for an opportunity to be creative and innovative within your work? Would you like to facilitate midwifery student’s problem solving, reflection on clinical midwifery practice and skills development?

About the role

Within the Bachelor of Midwifery Degree programme, you will be able to support midwifery students, in particular Māori and Pasifika learners to succeed.

You will value working collaboratively in a team and ongoing development of your own knowledge and skills. This is a 0.8 permanent position.

Are you an ideal candidate?

We are looking for passionate registered midwife who has the following:

  • A NZ midwifery registration with a current annual practising certificate
  • Confidence in teaching clinical midwifery skills
  • Enjoys visiting students on clinical placements
  • Committed to work alongside lecturers in class room settings
  • A minimum of five years post-registration midwifery practice
  • Knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori
  • And is considering gaining a teaching qualification through Wintec
