AUT has a 100 plus year history in the New Zealand market.  We are ranked in the top 500 Universities in the World with around 29,000 students, supported by over 2,500 staff across 5 Faculties and 5 Directorates.

In the People and Culture Directorate, we have an exciting HR technology roadmap with initiatives and projects in progress that focus on creating an excellent employee experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the HR/Payroll components of our technology stack including; Snaphire, Technology One, ServiceNow and PowerBI.  This will involve coordinating multiple parties to optimise and automate processes enabling a mobile and self-service strategy.   We are also underway with key systems projects on our roadmap, and you will be right in the midst of the projects, managing project staff and delivering our normal business as usual system activities.   We are all about making people's lives easier and we see technology as a key enabler.

You will have five years' experience working in an HR management, systems or technology role along with two years working in an HR payroll function and experience leading a small team. Ideally, you will have experience with Technology One and HRSD for ServiceNow.  Experience with integrations, robotic process automation and analytics would also be valued.   You will have demonstrated experience with projects, and it will be useful if you have exposure to human-centred design and Agile, Lean or Six Sigma.

This role will give you plenty of engagement with stakeholders, and you will need to be a solution-oriented problem solver who is capable of managing conflicting demands while keeping your stakeholders informed.

Our culture here at AUT is more of a community, and real purpose and meaning is underpinning what we do. The complexity of our environment will expose you to unique opportunities and challenges, and there is a massive opportunity to make a difference to our organisational culture and experience of our staff at AUT.

We are a collaborative team who work hard to deliver for AUT from a people perspective but who also like to have fun! If you want to be a part of an organisation with engaging work, great environments with purpose and meaning then get in touch.
