An opportunity is now available for a fixed term Management Accountant to join the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies and a permanent part time Management Accountant within the AUT International directorate.

As the management accountant, you will assist in ensuring all projects and initiatives positively contribute to the faculty's strategy and business plan, and AUT's Directions. You will assist in providing accurate and timely financial information and support to management to enable informed decision making and assist to ensure long-term faculty financial sustainability through planning, analysis and action, using reporting and enforcing appropriate finance controls.

To be successful, you will have:

• At least 3 years management accounting experience gained in a large and complex organisation
• CA or equivalent
• Possess excellent communication skills with strong customer focus
• Have a solution focus with a "can do" attitude
• Well organised with the ability to handle a number of tasks
• Excellent team member who is flexible and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Professionalism and the ability to deal with organisational and process complexity is a
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

We are looking for someone who as:

• Experience in accounting/finance in a commercial wholesale environment or large tertiary education organisation
• A relevant degree and qualification
• Experience with academics, researchers and project management
• Experience in providing quality financial analysis and reporting
• Experience in providing monthly / year-end management reporting and budget preparation and monitoring
• Experience using Technology One Finance System
