Massey University’s Libraries offer physical and virtual environments that provide access to scholarly resources, anywhere, anytime. We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and service-oriented Library Assistant to join the vibrant and innovative Wellington Campus Library in a permanent full-time role.

This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hr per week) on a rostered basis worked between the hours of 8 am - 6 pm, Monday - Friday on the Wellington Campus.

The successful applicant will join the team responsible for providing library services and answering enquiries from internal and distance clients.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Good digital literacy skills
  • Legal entitlement to commit to a full-time permanent role in New Zealand
