We are looking for a talented individual to join the Library and Learning Centre team. This role provides a unique opportunity to deliver library and learning services in an online environment.

Mō te tūnga | About the role

We are looking for a high performer that is suitably qualified, skilled, and experienced to add value to the Library and Learning Centre team. In the role of Library and Learning Support Liaison, you will be helping to provide information and learning support that promotes student engagement and success. You'll be working with students and staff at all levels to enhance their understanding of information literacy, and to ensure these principles are incorporated in learning, teaching, and support at the Open Polytechnic.  

This is a 25 hours per week, part time position ideally worked across 5 days. However, for the right candidate we can be flexible.

  • An undergraduate qualification, as well as a library qualification or equivalent
  • Experience providing library or information service
  • The ability to work as a team member and independently
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to different ideas, situations, and people.
  • Experience in advising and supporting the inclusion of information literacy and learning support theory into courses and programmes
  • Experience in supporting students to help them meet individual learning goals.
