The School of Clinical Sciences is seeking to make a full-time permanent appointment at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. The successful candidate will actively contribute to education and supervision within our postgraduate rehabilitation programme and conduct research in their area of specialty. This role is based in a School and team committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is on a journey to implement Te Tiriti at all levels of the school including teaching and learning. We welcome applications from Tangata whenua and candidates committed to being a responsive Te Tiriti partner.

The successful candidate(s) will have the expertise to enhance the learning experiences of our students. You will have skills and experience in Te Tiriti-based, accessible, and online/blended learning. You will be expected to contribute to the supervision of postgraduate students and to actively contribute to the research culture within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

Applicants will hold a postgraduate qualification in a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who hold (or are working towards) a doctoral qualification (or culturally equivalent experience), have developed research and publication records, and have experience in teaching and supervision.

We are seeking people with knowledge and understanding of disability and rehabilitation. Specific knowledge in core rehabilitation concepts and practices, vocational, behavioural and/or disability scholarship, and/or experience in Kaupapa Māori aspects of rehabilitation is desirable. The successful candidate(s) will have a commitment to Te Tiriti, equity, and inclusion.

You will become part of a strong, collegial, and supportive team within the Centre for Person Centred Research (https://cpcr.aut.ac.nz/). Kaimahi Māori would be supported through a growing network of Māori staff in the school and Faculty.

The start date is scheduled for January 2024.

Salary Range:  $85,000 - $137,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
