The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is seeking to appoint a part time (0.8FTE) Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in psychology. The role is for an individual who is currently a registered psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists' Registration Board preferably within the counselling psychology scope. A doctoral qualification in Psychology is desirable, but not essential for this role.
The successful candidate will contribute substantively to our postgraduate counselling psychology programme, and other areas aligned with their expertise. They will have current practice experience in Aotearoa New Zealand, and a demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to supervision of clinical and research students. Academic staff are required to be actively involved in research and contribute to the research culture within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology.
Applicants will be currently registered as Psychologists in Aotearoa New Zealand and have experience in teaching and supervision along with a knowledge of research processes. A PhD and research experience would be advantageous. Candidates will embrace the vision and values of the School and commit to ongoing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme.

The start date is scheduled for July-August 2023.
Salary Range:
Lecturer (Career Path): $85,000 - $101,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
Senior Lecturer (Career Path): $104,000 - $137,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
