The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is seeking to appoint a permanent full-time appointment (proportional appointments will be considered) at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. The role is for an individual with a doctorate, and both clinical and research expertise, in professional psychology and the appropriate registration in their scope of practice in New Zealand. Ideally this person will have the expertise to enhance the integration of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural competencies into the delivery of our curricula. Experience with neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation is also valuable. The successful applicant will actively engage in facilitating delivery of education in both our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. In addition they will be expected to contribute to supervision of postgraduate students enrolled in the Honours, Masters and Doctoral programmes, and clinical supervision and oversight of intern psychologists as appropriate. Academic staff are required to be actively involved in research and significantly contribute to the research culture within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology.

Applicants will hold a doctoral qualification in psychology, have strong and/or developing research and publication records, and experience in teaching and supervision. Candidates will embrace the vision and values of the School and commit to ongoing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme.
