We have a fantastic permanent full-time opportunity (1.0 FTE) for a highly motivated academic to join the department of Oral Health at the School of Clinical Sciences. The oral health department is open to kōrero regarding flexible working arrangements that may incorporate flexible hours, job-sharing, working remotely and/or study leave.

With the guidance of the Programme Leader and Head of Department, you will deliver teaching and learning experiences for students enrolled in oral health programmes. This includes theoretical, simulation and clinical practice. A lecturer/senior lecturer of oral health will purposefully engage in the co-design and implementation of the oral health programmes with a commitment to a Te Tiriti focused curricula.

Whilst a bachelor's degree in oral health therapy or dentistry with masters/doctoral qualification is preferred, we are open to hearing from applicants who have a strong clinical and/or academic background, currently registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand, and who are interested in working towards an academic career, post-graduate qualifications and research.  Candidates will embrace the vision and values of the school and commit to ongoing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme.

The start date is January 2025 to be negotiated.

Salary Range: $89,000 - $142,000  (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
