Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

TeKaupeka Ture | Faculty of Law invites applications for a continuing position of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in private and/or commercial law. The actual appointment will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. The primary focus of the appointment is to teach and research in the areas of private and/or commercial law, including to undertake and develop an active programme of high-quality research and scholarly publishing. The Faculty particularly welcomes applications from candidates with qualifications and experience in insurance law, employment law, commercial law, or the law of torts. 

Mōu | Who You Are

You will be a highly motivated academic, or a practitioner with relevant professional experience who wishes to move into academia. At Lecturer level you should demonstrate the promise of high-quality teaching and research, or equivalent professional experience. At Senior Lecturer level you should have a proven record of high-quality research and teaching, or equivalent professional experience.  You will work well within diverse cultural environments, as well as provide a positive contribution to the administration of the school and the University more generally.

The salary for this position on the Academic Grade scale is Lecturer (2.01 - $82,882) to Senior Lecturer (4.05 - $120, 514)
