Position Overview

Our Institute of Education programmes cover the spectrum of Graduate and Postgraduate professional education pathways in Education and Educational Psychology. We are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to support the teaching within the Educational Psychology programme in Te Kura o Te Mātauranga/Institute of Education. This is a two-year fixed term contract position from January 2022- December 2023. Given the nature of this position (two-year fixed term contract) the location can be negotiated.

You will need either a relevant doctoral degree, or advanced qualifications and registration as a psychologist with the NZPsychBoard (Education Scope of Practice). You will have demonstrated competence in working in the educational psychology field and have the ability to work effectively with Māori and facilitate educational psychology courses encompassing Māori worldviews and framework. You will be able to provide evidence of contemporary knowledge and skills of best practice in teaching and educational psychology, including the ability to facilitate indigenous enhanced educational psychology courses.
