Position Overview
The School of Accountancy is a quality provider of accounting and business law education, and research. We create successful career opportunities for graduates, we conduct and disseminate research, and contribute to the profession and the wider community.
Due to retirement, we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Business Law, to teach at the undergraduate and possibly one course at a postgraduate level. The position may be offered as an assistant lecturer for suitably qualified applicant. You will also be expected to engage in research and supervise postgraduate students.
You will join a team of five Business Law Lecturers who are spread across two of our campuses. This position is based on our Palmerston North campus in the Manawatū, a beautiful environment to work and live. To be successful in appointment to this role, you must have a relevant PhD in Business Law along with familiarity with the NZ legal system (or similar) and an outstanding record of research and teaching, preferably with some experience in commercial law.
You will teach business law courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The salary range for this role (for 2023), at the Lecturer grade, ranging from $78,808 - $100,577 (NZD), while Senior Lecturer grade, ranging from $98,761 - $121,617 (NZD), based on background, skills and experience.
