The School of Agriculture and Environment, Massey University, is seeking applicants to apply for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Animal Science in Ruminant Nutrition and Greenhouse Gas Mitigation.  
The purpose of this position is to provide the learning and qualification outcomes of Massey's students and the scholarly outputs of the University by undertaking an active research programme focusing on Ruminant Nutrition, Animal Production Systems and Greenhouse Gas mitigation and by contributing to undergraduate teaching and supervision of postgraduate students within the School of Agriculture and Environment.

About you

Essential to this role is a PhD in Animal Science with the ability to teach in the outlined areas.  You will have a strong knowledge in Ruminant Production Systems and Ruminant Nutrition, both on a theoretical and applied level and a strong knowledge on environmental issues and Greenhouse Gas emissions from farmed animals and mitigation strategies.  

You will have experience in relevant data analysis methods and experimental procedures pertaining to Ruminant production and nutrition and greenhouse gas emissions mitigation.  A practical understanding of working within a research / extension / teaching environment is important.

This full-time ongoing position is at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level and will be located on our Palmerston North Campus.
