Position Overview
The School of Accountancy is a quality provider of accounting and business law education and research. We create successful career opportunities for graduates, we conduct and disseminate research, and contribute to the accounting profession and the wider community.
We are part of the Massey Business School (MBS) which has a proud foundation of academic excellence, teaching business since 1972. The Massey Business School is AACSB accredited, which benchmark it among the top five per cent of business schools globally. The School of Accountancy is one of only two Schools in Australia and New Zealand that has AACSB accounting accreditation.
The School of Accountancy is currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Accountancy, to teach in tax and at least one other area in accountancy, at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and be responsible for the delivery of some of the school’s courses in these areas. You will also be expected to engage in research and supervise postgraduate students and will be based on our Manawatū campus in Palmerston North.
To be successful in an appointment for either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you must have a relevant PhD in Accounting or Tax, along with an outstanding record of research and teaching in tax and other areas.
