We are proud of the history of our Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) as a strong field-based degree. Our early childhood teaching team are passionate about supporting our students to become excellent teachers who contribute significantly to early childhood education for our tamariki in Aotearoa.  

As a lecturer in the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) you will join a dynamic whānau committed to student success. You will contribute to creating an exceptional learning environment and be passionate about the significant place of early childhood education in the lives of young people in Aotearoa.

He kōrero mōu: About you

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer/Senior Lecturer who can develop and deliver an innovative, engaging and relevant curriculum for students across our diverse student community. You will be a committed team player with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. A relevant master's qualification is essential. 

The successful candidate will have expertise in early childhood education and be research active in the field. You will have developed a strong reputation within early childhood communities and show an ability to lead in these environments.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated capability in supporting both Māori and Pacific learners as outlined in Te Whāriki and in accordance with Our Code, Our Standards. Experience in te reo Māori, and an ability to incorporate matauranga Māori will be evident in your teaching practice. Applicants with programme leadership expertise are particularly encouraged to apply.

Current full teacher certification is also required, along with a current NZ driver's licence.

The candidate must be vaccinated accordingly, in line with the NZ Immunisation Schedule and other Nationwide vaccination programmes
