The School of Music and Creative Media Production is recruiting a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Creative Technologies. The successful candidate will have a post-graduate qualification and/or significant industry experience and show evidence of excellence in research and teaching.

The ideal candidate will have both technical and conceptual experience of new and innovative technologies for use across a wide range of screen-media platforms and experiences and be an expert in industry-standard approaches to creative technology. The successful candidate will also be required to develop and deliver new course content that equips students with the skills and understanding required for an ethical and sustainable career in media technology production. They will be required to deliver a suite of undergraduate courses with potential to teach into the School's suite of post-graduate offerings.

The School of Music and Creative Media Production was recently established to respond to New Zealand's growth and internationally recognised reputation for innovation and creativity in both media production and music. It is staffed by internationally acclaimed and award-winning practitioners and is equipped with brand new state of the art facilities, including one of the largest and most high-tech recording studio complexes in the region.

The School of Music and Creative Media Production delivers two undergraduate degree programmes, the Bachelor of Creative Media Production, and the Bachelor of Commercial Music. The Bachelor of Creative Media Production offers students pathways in film and TV, animation and VFX, game development, creative technologies, immersive and producing and directing. The Bachelor of Commercial Music offers majors in music practice, music technology and music industry.

The School also offers Honours programmes for both Creative Media Production and Commercial Music as well as a Master of Creative Enterprise (MCE). The MCE is designed for students who are looking to apply professional strategies intrinsic to creative disciplines to develop and commercialise their practice. Together with the School of Design and the School of Art, the School of Music and Creative Media Production is part of the College of Creative Arts at Massey University, Wellington. The School of Design offers majors in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Spatial Design, Visual Communication Design, Textiles, and Concept Design. The School of Art offers majors in Fine Art, Photography and Mäori Visual Arts.
