Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor Plant Science

Lincoln University has a student roll of around 3,000 and approximately 700 staff.
Right now we are looking for a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Plant Science to join the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences in the Department of Agricultural Sciences. Your responsibilities will include teaching and research in the plant sciences, and in crop and livestock production. Essentially you will bring your expertise in the areas of plant breeding, crop and pasture physiology and agronomy. You will also be expected to forge links with the New Zealand crop and pastoral industries and relevant research entities. This is a busy and varied role, where your enquiring mind and passion for working with and educating young people will be key to your success.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- a PhD in an appropriate discipline
- the enthusiasm to lecture at undergraduate and postgraduate degree level
- the ability to supervise postgraduate students
- experience in undertaking and publishing high quality research
- the desire to collaborate and work collegially with other faculty staff
- strong communication skills
- a warm, friendly personality
This is a fulltime, permanent position.
