The School of Education Te Kura Mātauranga in the Faculty of Culture and Society, Auckland University of Technology, is a leading provider of education programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

We are seeking applications for a suitably qualified lecturer to support our Early Childhood Education courses offered at our Akoranga, City and Manukau campuses. Applicants should have relevant professional experience and should state their experience and strengths in the implementation of Te Whāriki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Current teacher registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council is a requirement as the successful applicant will be expected to visit and assess student teachers on practicum.  

This is a Fixed Term Position for one year. Applicants will have either a Master' or, preferably, a Doctoral degree (or be working towards one), will be research-active, and willing to make a contribution to the academic community of the School of Education.

This role is considered a children's worker role and will be subject to safety checking as part of the Children's Act 2014 . 

Salary Range: Lecturer (Career Path): $82,000 - $99,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
