Te āheinga: The opportunity

We have two opportunities for an experienced automotive technician or engineer to join our team as a Lecturer.

  • One Fixed-Term fulltime role starting as soon as possible and ending end of Sem 1, 2025 
  • One Permanent fulltime position.

You don't need to have teaching experience as we will wrap support around you, but what you will need is a genuine passion for student success. You'll be naturally engaging and approachable and who enjoys bringing out the best in others. You'll get huge satisfaction from passing your knowledge on.

You will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of New Zealand Certificate programmes of study.  With a good understanding of automotive control systems and associated technologies, you will be supported to upskill your knowledge and deliver training using our state-of-the-art automotive emulation technology.

You'll spend time in the classroom teaching theory, but most of our learning is done through practical, hands-on experience in our well-equipped workshops within our purpose-built trades building.

You'll be certified to at least level 4 (or international comparison) and have trade experience with a passion for automotive engineering.
