We are currently seeking a highly motivated person for a part-time fixed-term position (1 year at 0.7 FTE) to teach in the areas of Human Anatomy and Physiology, Cell Biology, Immunology, and Biomedical Technology. In this position, you will either be supporting other academics or be the lead to deliver courses. These courses play an important role in ensuring the success of our Certificate in Applied Science, Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science), and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science curricula.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student assignments, exams, and projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance course materials and teaching methodologies
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive learning environment
- Coordinate laboratory instruction and promote good practice amongst our postgraduate teaching assistants
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our medical laboratory science programs
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Ph.D. in a relevant topic area
- Proven experience in teaching at a range of undergraduate and/or pre-degree levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to student success and the promotion of inclusive teaching practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
