Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

The role of the Lead Advisor - Wellbeing is to develop and implement proactive, customised and data informed practices in postgraduate research student wellbeing, integrated with key milestones in the postgraduate research journey.

You will be responsible for the development of a framework for postgraduate researcher wellbeing that recognises the link between wellbeing and research success for students and their supervisors, and especially for priority learners (including ākonga Māori, Pacific, International, Rainbow, and those from other underserved groups).

Provide key expertise in the development of supervisory practice and professional development at UC, with particular regards to wellbeing.

Mōu | Who You Are
You have significant wellbeing/pastoral care experience, ideally in a tertiary environment. You have experience with models of care for Māori, Pacific and International students, as well as for graduate research students.

You have knowledge of the UC environment, structures, people, policies and procedures.

You are a strong communicator with awareness of and sensitivity towards intercultural and intersectional diversity. You can confidently deal with complex and critical student matters.
