Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will be part of a committed library team who care about making a difference for student and staff learning, teaching and research.
You will join our current Kaitakawaenga Māori who will support you and help you settle into the role.
Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As a Kaitakawaenga Māori you will deliver professional Library services, with a focus on Māori staff and students.
You will facilitate access to resources of relevance for learning, teaching and research throughout the University of Canterbury Libraries.
You will provide specialist knowledge and expertise to support the ongoing development of Māori library resources.
You will support the needs of students and staff in academic research, study and enquiry into te ao Māori.
You will work alongside other specialist staff at UC to support the delivery of kaupapa Māori initiatives.
Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have experience working in a library, the wider information profession or education sector.
You will have a professional understanding relating to mātauranga Māori and library resources, and of te reo Māori and tikanga.
You will have experience working effectively alongside Māori staff, students or communities.
You will have knowledge and experience of teaching individuals and groups.
