We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to provide up- to-date accurate information and advice on MIT and its programmes to key schools and communities, thereby encouraging the recruitment of new students to MIT with an emphasis on Māori. You will bring strong experience in and be comfortable working with schools, iwi, hapu, whanau, marae, Māori community organisations, and government agencies to assist Māori to further embrace education and encourage their enrolment at MIT.
Mōu te take: About you:
- Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification and /or previous work experience in student recruitment.
- You are confident working closely with the community and utilising your strong communication skills.
- You have a level of fluency in Te Reo and Tikanga Māori and proficiency in Mātauranga Māori
- An understanding of local whanau, hapu and iwi Maori issues.
- A self-starter who can manage deadline with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel is required.
- Comfortable working with Te Reo, Tikanga and Matauranga Maori 'kanohi ki te kanohi', face to face, and online,
- A full driver's licence is essential.
