The Faculty is comprised of the AUT Business School, School of Economics and the AUT Law School.  The Business School is internationally ranked and recognised, and one of the largest university providers of business education in New Zealand.  The Law School, operating since 2009, offers a distinctive, professionally-focused legal education designed to maximise the employment opportunities available to our students once they graduate. 

The Faculty has approximately 6,000 students and 350 staff, of which 70 are professional staff. Though the Faculty is based on the city campus, it also offers some of its programmes on the AUT South campus.

The role

An opportunity is available for an experienced International Project Administrator to join the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law. 

A key component is responsibility for the delivery of excellent customer service to prospective international students and their influencers. This role has a focus on conversions and supporting international applications to enrolments. The role will assist in modifying and improving business processes, enabling the Faculty to be competitive in recruiting international students.

The position works closely with the Director International Marketing and Recruitment. However, the role is also expected to co-operate and collaborate with other staff (academic and professional) across the Faculty and University. 

To be successful in this position, you will have: 

  • Proven experience, working in a tertiary education environment
  • Understanding of issues in international education
  • Fluent in an Asian language
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-sector and cross-cultural relationship building and management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to cope with high short-term pressure and workload
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • You must be eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered for this position.
