ICT Service Desk & Support Technician

Fantastic opportunity in the ICT Service Desk team for someone with recent experience in providing phone based technical support

Join AUT University's dynamic and evolving ICT Service Delivery Team and deliver outstanding ICT support to staff and students. AUT has one of NZ's largest IT departments, consisting of over 2,500 staff and 9,000 operating PC's, Macs and mobile devices.

This role provides phone and remote support and you will be the first point of contact for staff at the University.

You must have:

  • Proven work experience in a customer service role with relevant ICT qualification(s) and knowledge
  • Experience in writing IT Support documentation to be referred to by other ICT staff and clients/end users
  • Have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

We are looking for a patient, persistent, diplomatic and professional Service Desk & Support Technician to provide a variety of possible solutions to problems. You will use your advanced customer services etiquette; maintaining professionalism at all times and proactively offer support and assistance. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both clients and members of the ICT team is key to success at the role.
