  • Ready to sink your teeth into a new year challenge?
  • Full-time, permanent role in Auckland CBD (with some WFH flexibility)

Here at People & Culture, we are focussed on automation and self-service enablement to support our service delivery journey.  The Centre of HR Technology and Reporting focuses on reducing unnecessary transactional administration to support People & Culture's mission to deliver more value-adding services to the University. It is a period of exciting change as we ramp up efforts to digitise manual processes and work with our broader colleagues to improve the flow of information.

We operate an agile Kanban approach to our day-to-day activities and various projects across the HR Lifecycle.  We are a small team and rely on each other to share expertise to bring out the best solutions for our initiatives.  You'll be someone who loves continuous improvement, thrives on getting from A to Z smartly, and loves helping people succeed using technology.  ETLs, APIs, RPA, SQL, Pivot Tables, imports, data models, process excellence... these all resonate with you.  You have proven experience in bringing together intelligent improvements that create a better experience for everyone.

In this role, you will be working with three key HR systems, Technology One HR/Payroll (system of record), ServiceNow (system of engagement) and Snaphire (e-recruitment).   From gathering and interpreting requirements, integrating data between systems, imports, configuration, testing, responding to data requests, report writing and supporting our system users.  There will be a balanced mix of working with the tech and engaging with our broader team and stakeholders to help our digital transformation.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Ideally has experience in Technology One HR/Payroll, Service Now and Snaphire or comparable systems
  • Has previous payroll and/or payroll systems experience and a good grasp on legislation
  • Has experience with delivering projects across the HR lifecycle and has some familiarity with working with HR data
  • Is proficient in excel and working with data
  • Is good at understanding and navigating requirements with stakeholders
  • Has the technical know-how but is also a team player who enjoys collaborating

We can offer you a great team environment where your work will be valued, and you will have the opportunity to make your mark.  Balancing BAU activities with project work requires effective engagement with our stakeholders.  If you enjoy working with conflicting priorities, can pivot quickly and manage your time - you will thrive!

There is flexibility around work hours within the core business hours, and this role can be a mix of onsite and work-from-home.  AUT is a great place to continue your development, offering professional development days and opportunities to study.
