- Head of Department (3 year secondment) - Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor

The School of Clinical Sciences is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist and senior academic to join the leadership team as the Head of Physiotherapy Department. This will be for a 3-year secondment period. At the end of this term, the position will revert to the substantive academic role of Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor. There will also be the opportunity to apply for an extension to the secondment term.
The Department of Physiotherapy sits within the School of Clinical Sciences and Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at AUT and was established in 1973. The focus of the Department is to provide high quality education for physiotherapy students both undergraduate and postgraduate. Research is also an important area within the Department. The department is well recognised for its research and programmes of research.
Preferred candidates will have a commitment to Te Tiriti ō Waitangi and will lead culturally safe education and practice within the Department and its programmes. They will have strong teaching and research interests, enabling them to make a senior contribution to our academic programme development, research capability and capacity, and fostering excellent relationships with a range of relevant community health agencies and stakeholders.

Salary Range:
Senior Lecturer: $101,000 - $134,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
Associate Professor: $134,000 - $156,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
Professor: $147,000 - $190,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
This role is considered a children's worker role and will be subject to safety checking as part of the Children's Act 2014 .
AUT will require successful applicants to provide proof of full COVID vaccination prior to commencement of employment.
