Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Te Kura Tāura | UC Graduate School is looking for a skilled and motivated personal assistant/group administrator to support the Dean Postgraduate Research and the wider team. UC offers a wide range of postgraduate and graduate research qualifications through state of the-art resources and hands-on research opportunities. By utilising your strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure, you will work with colleagues across Te Kura Tāura | UC Graduate School and be responsible for providing administrative support to the Dean..

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you will have 4-5 years' experience in a personal assistant role with experience in dealing with confidential information. You will also have excellent communication skills and be motivated towards working in a team. You will also ideally have the following:

  • Experience in an administrative role with customer service within a large organisation
  • Knowledge of the tertiary education sector
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulations and policies
  • Proven record of data entry accuracy
  • Experience with UCSMS would be an advantage
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Awareness of Privacy and Official Information Acts

Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will work with a busy team within the Vice-Chancellor's Office. Within this office, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research (DVCR) team provide over-arching vision and leadership in the core academic and research missions of the University. The DVCR office lead the strategic direction and planning for learning, teaching and research in conjunction with an Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, ensure that the strategic and operational linkages between teaching and research are strengthened and enhanced.
