The role/Te mahi

The Faculty of Dentistry invites applications for four full-time, fixed term positions as Graduate Dentist Intern commencing in January 2025 – two in Dunedin and two in Auckland.   

In this role, you will work with experienced clinicians to provide a wide scope of general dental procedures. Throughout this one-year placement, you will benefit from ongoing mentoring, training, support, and coaching.

This is an outstanding opportunity, and you can apply for either of our two locations (Dunedin or Auckland).

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
•    Strong knowledge and understanding in all areas of general dentistry.
•    Exceptional communication and patient care skills.
•    Be a new Dental Graduate or a Dentist in the first five years of working.
•    Be able to work in a large cohesive team environment delivering dental care in our low-cost dental practice.
•    Outstanding time management skills.
•    A strong desire to consolidate your clinical skills in a supportive environment.
•    A drive to support students as a mentor in areas commensurate with your clinical expertise.

These are full-time (1 FTE), fixed-term positions for one year commencing 20 January 2025.

The salary for this position is $75,231 per annum.
