Gardener
Help beautify our Lincoln Campus grounds through garden maintenance and landscape development.
Mō te tūka | The role
Seeking applications for a talented Gardener to perform garden maintenance and landscape developments on our campus grounds and properties.
Based in our Property Services department, you will work alongside a small team gardening staff to help beautify and maintain our grounds and amenity open spaces to a high standard.
This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. The remuneration for this role is from $54,000 - $58,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A qualification in horticulture related field is preferred.
- Full class one New Zealand driver licence.
- Relevant experience in the amenity horticulture/ arboriculture industry.
- Practical experience and enthusiasm in amenity horticulture / arboriculture related operations, as well as the desire to gain ongoing new skills and knowledge in the field.
- Ability to be responsive to instructions, task assignments and have the ability to deal with variable daily workloads and priorities within a team environment.
- Ability to plan and implement daily, seasonal and annual work schedules, programmes and tasks to perform quality control of all grounds maintenance and related operations responsible for.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment and interact effectively with a diverse range of people
