The University Union is a commercial University owned operation comprising of 20 business units across campus. The Union's business units are divided into three major areas of operation, College Catering, Retail and Food & Beverage. 

Our College Catering operation caters onsite to 2500 students, residing at 10 University Residential Colleges.

The role/Te mahi

We are seeking Front of House Supervisors to work in our busy Hayward College and Carrington College food service teams.

You will be a hospitality professional with a varied background in food service, strong communication and team building skills.

This role includes kitchen assistant duties such as general cleaning, food preparation, ensuring customer service exceeds expectations and maintaining an immaculate and welcoming environment.

We are looking for candidates with:
•    A high level of enthusiasm and customer service.
•    Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
•    Experience in the supervision of kitchen staff.
•    Ability to develop and maintain effective networks and key relationships.

You will be committed to continuous improvement and always able to organise and prioritise an unpredictable working day.

We have two full-time (40 hours a week), permanent, semester time only positions (38 weeks a year), located in Dunedin. One position is based in Hayward College the other is based in Carrington College.

Days of work are Sunday to Thursday, 11am - 7:30pm.

The appointments range for this role is $25.17 to $25.67 per hour. Top of Range $26.67.
