Front of House Supervisor

Hands on role providing leadership & training for someone who values their free time, working 40 hours per week. 

Mō te tūka | The role

We are seeking applications for a motivated Front of House Supervisor to join our driven, supportive team, who are passionate about providing a quality service for our students and wider population. 

Working on the floor with the team, you will lead the day-to-day service function of our onsite student-dining hall and function catering services.

Some tasks of the role include:

  • Ensuring service requirements are met - coordinating staff, venues, equipment and food
  • Administrative duties - rosters, timesheets, Food Control Plan, stock levels, monthly reporting
  • Staff training and development, daily toolbox meetings

This is a permanent role working approximately 40 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. 

This is not your typical Front of House role - we value a work/life balance set up meaning you'll work set hours each week of Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with the flexibility to cover functions in the evenings.

Remuneration range for this role is $25 - $27/hr with any hours worked over the weekend paid at time and a half.

Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Duty Manager Licence or the ability to gain one
  • Five or more years experience in a hospitality and/ or events background, with a multi-venue property (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a supervisor of a medium to large team (preferred)
  • Intermediate level of computer skills
  • Understanding of food and service requirements including food safety regulations
  • Exceptional customer service ethic
