Āu Mahi | What You Will Do You

You will assist the Trade Manager - Building Specialist, in the management of the carpentry team and ensure provision of quality building services for the Facilities Management department.  This involves the day to day allocation of work schedules, ensuring job completion, quality assurance and contractors are managed effectively to meet programme deadlines.

Management of the team's capacity to meet service delivery requirements, including active management of the team's overtime, undertaking overtime where agreed, and inclusion on the informal call out roster is a key part of this role.

You will also be hands on in ensuring building fabric, including structure, envelope and finishes, are maintained in a compliant, safe and fully functional, well-presented condition.

 

Mōu | Who You Are

You will have previously worked in a large and complex organisation such as a University and be highly experienced as a  Carpentry tradesperson .  Your experience will include proactively leading a qualified trades team and understanding how to successfully deliver complex building projects on budget and within programme.
