Food Service Worker - Inventory & Receiving

Receive all incoming goods relating to food and beverage in requirements with our food safety plan. 

Mō te tūka | The role

We have a vacancy for a friendly, organised team member to receive all incoming goods relating to food and beverage in requirements with our food safety plan.

Based in our catering department, the main tasks associated with the role are:

  • Ensuring all food & beverage deliveries are received, checked off against delivery docket, orders put away in correct stores area.
  • Completing food control plan checks & documentation on deliveries.
  • Ensuring the kitchen stores, chiller & freezer areas are kept in a clean and tidy manner as per the cleaning schedule.
  • Understanding reporting and monitoring responsibilities documented in the Food Safety program in relation to the role.
  • Ensuring that the necessary food safety corrective action is taken in accordance with the requirements.
  • Undertaking ordering of stock for kitchen & bar.
  • Undertaking stock takes as required for the business.
  • Assisting Chefs with kitchen tasks as requested.

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week at our Lincoln Campus. Fixed shifts are Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm during term time only.

Remuneration is set at $54,540 pa pro rata to part time hours (approx. $26.15/hr).

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum NCEA level 1 or equivalent experience preferred
  • Technical or professional knowledge, skills and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the hospitality or warehouse industry
  • The ability to prioritize workload and motivation to complete tasks on time to a high standard
  • The ability to communicate clearly with staff and customers
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • Honesty and integrity
